Overview

This OEM hot surface igniter kit replaces the ignition source in your ICP RGS090SEAA0AAA gas furnace and includes both the igniter (part number 1171306) and the matching wiring harness kit (part number 1188370). On a call for heat, the furnace control board sends line voltage to the igniter, which glows white-hot and ignites the gas at the burner. Igniters are brittle and degrade over thousands of heating cycles. Typical failure symptoms include no heat with the blower still running, a furnace that clicks and tries to light but never fires, a visibly cracked or no-longer-glowing element, or repeated ignition lockouts on the control board.
