Overview

This OEM ignition kit combines the hot surface igniter (part number 1176919) with its mounting bracket (part number 1184324) for the ICP / Tempstar / Heil WFSR120D060A1 gas furnace. The hot surface igniter glows red-hot on every call for heat to light the burner gas, and because the brittle element is stressed by repeated heat-up/cool-down cycles it is the most frequent furnace ignition failure. A cracked igniter leaves the furnace running its inducer and gas-valve sequence with no actual flame, resulting in no heat or repeated ignition lockouts. The included bracket guarantees the element sits at the correct position and depth in the burner flame path.

Installation Guide

1. Safety First — Shut off gas and disconnect power; verify zero voltage with a multimeter.
2. Access — Remove the burner-compartment service panel.
3. Document — Photo the igniter wiring and bracket position before disconnecting.
4. Remove — Unplug the igniter connector, unscrew the bracket, and lift the assembly out — handle the element by the ceramic base only.
5. Install — Mount the new bracket and igniter without touching the element, then reconnect the harness.
6. Test — Restore gas and power and watch a full ignition cycle to confirm the burners light.
