Overview

This OEM hot surface igniter assembly (part 1171306) with companion wiring kit (part 1188370) is the direct-fit ignition component for the ICP Tempstar Heil RGS150SEAA0AGAA gas furnace. The hot surface igniter (HSI) is energized at the start of each heat call, glowing to roughly 2,000°F to ignite the burner gas. It is one of the most common furnace failure points: igniters are brittle and degrade with every thermal cycle. Typical failure symptoms include no ignition on a heat call, repeated lockouts, the furnace blower running with no heat, or a cracked/visibly eroded igniter element.
