Overview
This is a genuine OEM hot surface igniter assembly for the ICP/Heil/Tempstar RGS120LEAA0AKAA gas furnace, supplied with the matching igniter wiring kit. The hot surface igniter (HSI) is energized at the start of every heat cycle and glows to roughly 1800–2500°F to ignite the gas at the burners. It replaces the older standing-pilot ignition method and is one of the most common furnace failure points. When the igniter cracks, burns out, or develops a hairline fracture, the furnace will run its inducer and call for heat but never light, often locking out after several failed trials. Operating voltage is 120V. This kit includes igniter part 1171306 and wiring kit 1188370 for a clean, complete replacement.
