Overview

This OEM igniter electrode (part 1179966) is the factory ignition component for the ICP / Tempstar / Heil RGS213LFEA0AAAA gas furnace. The electrode ignites the burner gas at the start of each heating cycle. Because it heats and cools repeatedly, the element becomes brittle and develops hairline cracks, eventually failing to glow or spark. When it fails, the furnace blower may run but produce no heat, or the unit locks out after several failed ignition attempts.

Installation Guide
