This OEM gas valve support bracket (part 1178238) rigidly mounts the gas valve assembly inside your ICP RGS121SECB0AAA furnace. The bracket holds the valve in correct alignment with the manifold and burner orifices so the gas-train piping is not stressed and the valve does not sag or vibrate. A corroded, bent, or missing bracket lets the valve hang on its piping, which can stress threaded joints, create gas leaks, or misalign the burners.
