Overview

The ICP 34332101 Defrost Control Board is the OEM defrost controller for the Tempstar/Heil YK060G2 heat pump. It tracks outdoor coil temperature and compressor run time, then commands the unit into and out of defrost so ice cannot accumulate on the outdoor coil during heating operation. The board coordinates the reversing valve, outdoor fan, and auxiliary heat during each defrost event. A failed board shows up as a coil that ices over and never defrosts, a unit that defrosts constantly and blows cold air indoors, or defrost components that won't respond. It runs on a 24V control circuit and is a direct OEM-fit replacement.

Installation Guide

1. Safety First — Disconnect power at the disconnect and breaker; verify zero voltage with a multimeter.
2. Access — Remove the outdoor unit control panel cover.

4. Remove — Label and unplug the low-voltage harnesses and sensor leads, then unscrew the old defrost board from its standoffs.
5. Install — Mount the new 34332101 board, reconnect each harness exactly per your photos, and reseat the coil sensor.
6. Test — Restore power, run a heating cycle, and confirm the unit initiates and terminates defrost correctly.
