Overview
This OEM defrost control board (part number 34332101) is the brain of the defrost cycle in your ICP YJ018G2 heat pump. It monitors outdoor coil temperature and elapsed run time, then initiates and terminates the defrost sequence to clear frost and ice from the outdoor coil during heating operation. The board also manages reversing-valve and auxiliary-heat timing. When it fails, the outdoor unit can ice over completely, lose heating capacity, short-cycle, or never enter defrost at all.
