Overview

This OEM defrost control board (part 1069364) is the brain of the heat pump defrost cycle on the ICP YG060GA1. It monitors coil temperature and runtime, initiates and terminates defrost, switches the reversing valve, and coordinates the outdoor fan and auxiliary heat during a defrost event. When the board fails, the outdoor coil ices over in heating mode, the system never defrosts, or it defrosts constantly and short-cycles — driving up energy use and risking compressor damage. A board that produces no output, fails its diagnostic LED check, or has visibly burned traces should be replaced.

Installation Guide
