Overview

This OEM defrost control board (part number 1052757) is the brain of the defrost cycle on the ICP YA100NA1 heat pump. It monitors coil temperature and run time, then commands the reversing valve and auxiliary heat to clear frost from the outdoor coil during cold-weather operation. When this board fails, the unit may ice over and lose heating capacity, run continuous or excessively long defrost cycles, fail to switch the reversing valve, or stop responding to the defrost thermostat altogether.
