Overview

This OEM circuit board (OEM 1178001) is the defrost control board that manages your ICP/Tempstar/Heil WPA3244000RKC1 heat pump. It monitors coil temperature and run time, reverses the system into defrost mode to clear frost from the outdoor coil, and coordinates the contactor, reversing valve, and fan timing. When the board fails, the heat pump may never defrost (icing up the coil), get stuck in defrost, short-cycle, or fail to energize the compressor at all.
