The 24V coil energizes when the thermostat calls for cooling or first-stage compressor operation, closing the line-voltage contacts that power the compressor and condenser fan motor. Two configurations are offered for this model: OEM 1171554 (2-pole, 30A, 24V) and OEM 1172449 (3-pole, 40A, 24V). Installation Guide

5. Install — Mount the new contactor, reconnect line, load, and 24V coil leads exactly per your photo.
6. Test — Restore power, call for cooling, and confirm the contactor pulls in cleanly and the compressor and fan start.
