Overview

This OEM control transformer (part 1173691) steps 208/230V line voltage down to the 24V control signal that powers the thermostat, contactor coil, gas valve and control board on ICP/Heil/Tempstar systems such as model WJA342000K000B1. It is rated at 40VA and ships with the matching 24V barrier (part 1176032). A failed transformer is one of the most common no-power faults: when it burns open, the entire low-voltage control circuit goes dead and the unit will not respond to a thermostat call.

Installation Guide

1. Safety First — Disconnect power and verify zero voltage with a multimeter.
2. Access — Remove the control-box service panel.

4. Remove — Disconnect the leads, unbolt the transformer from its bracket, and detach the barrier.
5. Install — Mount the new transformer and barrier, then reconnect primary and 24V secondary leads per your photo.
6. Test — Restore power and confirm 24V at the secondary and a normal thermostat call.
