Overview

This OEM 24-volt control transformer steps line voltage down to the 24V control circuit that powers the YK048G's low-voltage components — the reversing-valve coil (PN 34329055) and the control relays (PN 96467, 1053004). Rated at 40VA, it supplies the steady 24V the thermostat, relays, and contactor coil need to operate. A failed transformer kills the entire control circuit: no thermostat response, no relay pull-in, and a unit that appears completely dead even though line power is present. Replacing it restores low-voltage control across the system.

Installation Guide

5. Install — Mount the new transformer and reconnect primary and secondary leads per your photo.
6. Test — Restore power and confirm 24V across the secondary and that the relays and reversing valve energize on demand.
