Overview

This OEM 24-volt control transformer powers the low-voltage circuit on the ICP YH024GC heat pump, supplying the 24V the system needs to energize its reversing valve coil (part 34329055), control relays (parts 96467 and 1053004), contactor, and thermostat. The transformer steps line voltage down to 24VAC at roughly 40VA of capacity. A failed transformer is a leading no-heat / no-cool cause: when it opens or shorts, the whole control circuit goes dead and nothing energizes even with line power present.

Installation Guide

1. Safety First — Disconnect power at the disconnect and breaker, then verify zero voltage with a multimeter.

4. Remove — Disconnect the line-voltage primary and 24V secondary leads and unbolt the old transformer.
5. Install — Mount the new transformer, reconnect primary to line voltage and secondary to the 24V circuit per your photo.
6. Test — Restore power and confirm 24VAC across the secondary and that relays and the reversing valve coil energize.
