Overview

This OEM 2-pole, 40-amp definite-purpose contactor (part #1059574) with a 24-volt coil is the factory switching relay for the ICP / Tempstar / Heil YK060G condensing unit. When the thermostat calls for cooling, the 24V coil pulls the contacts closed, sending line voltage to the compressor and condenser fan motor. Over years of cycling, contactor points pit, burn, and weld, while coils open or buzz — the result is a unit that won't start, chatters, or won't shut off. Installation Guide
