This OEM capacitor kit includes both the factory-specified dual run capacitor (P291-4573RS) and start capacitor (P281-8806) for the Carrier PH13NR03000GAAAA heat pump condensing unit. The dual run capacitor stores and delivers the electrical charge that keeps both the compressor and condenser fan motor running continuously. The start capacitor provides the extra torque burst needed to kick the compressor into motion on each cycle. When either fails, symptoms include a humming unit with no compressor start, a fan that spins slowly or not at all, or a system that trips off within seconds of startup.
