OEM Carrier Condenser Fan Motor 1/5 HP 208-230V 825 RPM for Model PH12NA048000AAAA
This is the factory OEM condenser fan motor for the Carrier PH12NA048000AAAA heat pump condensing unit, carrying primary OEM part number HC37GE210 (supersedes HC37GE210A) with secondary reference HC38GE231. The condenser fan motor drives the outdoor fan blade, pulling air across the condenser coil and over the compressor to reject heat. When this motor fails, the system will overheat and trip on high-pressure lockout, or the outdoor fan simply won't spin — leaving your heat pump unable to cool or heat. Do not run the unit with a failed condenser fan motor, as compressor damage will follow quickly.

Specs: 1/5 HP | 208-230V | 60 Hz | 825 RPM | 0.95A Full-Load Amps | Single Phase | Frame 48 | Closed Enclosure | CWLE Rotation | 0.5" Diameter × 1.9" Shaft | Stud Mountable | PSC Motor Type | Automatic Overload Protection
-
Required Capacitor: This motor requires a 7.5 MFD 370V run capacitor — always replace the run capacitor when replacing the motor to prevent premature motor failure from a weakened capacitor.
-
OEM vs Generic: This is the genuine Carrier factory part. OEM motors are wound and balanced to exact factory tolerances for the PH12NA048000AAAA platform, preserving your unit's efficiency rating, UL listing, and Energy Star certification. Aftermarket motors often deviate in RPM or amperage, shortening compressor life and voiding the equipment warranty.
-
Install Difficulty: 3/5 — Disconnect all power before beginning. Discharge and replace the run capacitor before handling motor terminals. Tools needed: 5/16" and 1/4" nut drivers, needle-nose pliers, multimeter, wire connectors. Label all wiring before disconnecting. Confirm blade rotation (CWLE — clockwise when viewed from lead end) before final startup.
