The Carrier HN68GA295 Discharge Gas Thermostat (DGT) is the factory-specified safety sensor for the Carrier / Carlyle 07ED044801 commercial compressor. Mounted on the discharge line, this thermostat continuously monitors refrigerant discharge gas temperature to protect the compressor from dangerously high discharge conditions. When discharge temperatures exceed the setpoint, the DGT interrupts the control circuit — triggering a safety lockout before compressor damage can occur.
